Along the way, you experience the park’s remarkable diversity of scenery and wildlife at your own pace, with the freedom to stop and savour every sighting. Each camp reveals a different side of Kruger’s natural beauty, creating a journey filled with unforgettable moments, breathtaking views, and the timeless rhythm of the African bush.


TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Southern Kruger (Berg-en-Dal Region): A wildlife-rich area known for its rugged bushveld, granite hills, and proximity to the Crocodile River. This region offers excellent sightings of elephant, white rhino, buffalo, leopard, and abundant antelope species

Central Kruger – Skukuza Region: The heart of Kruger National Park and its most historic camp, Skukuza offers superb riverfront scenery and some of the park’s highest densities of big game. 

Central Kruger – Satara Region: Often referred to as “Big Cat Country,” the Satara area is famous for its vast open plains and high visibility. This region provides some of the best chances to encounter lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Northern/Central Kruger – Letaba Region: A tranquil, scenic area renowned for its sweeping mopane woodlands and the beautiful Letaba River. This region is especially celebrated for its large elephant populations, frequent sightings of buffalo and waterbuck.

Day 1: ARRIVAL KRUGER – SOUTHERN KRUGER (80km – 1hr)

Welcome to the world-famous Kruger National Park! Upon arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, proceed to the rental counter to collect your vehicle and begin your South African adventure. Drive to your accommodation located in the southern region of the park.

Check in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Founded in 1898 by Paul Kruger, this iconic park spans nearly 2 million hectares and is home to an extraordinary array of wildlife, including the renowned Big Five, giraffe, zebra, antelope, warthog, and an impressive variety of bird species.

Day 2: SOUTHERN KRUGER

Today, explore the southern region of Kruger National Park, an area renowned for its rich wildlife and scenic beauty. Nestled in the foothills of the Malelane Mountains near the park’s southern boundary, Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp offers a striking mix of rugged bushveld and rolling granite hills – a landscape that contrasts with the open plains found elsewhere in the park. The camp lies close to the Crocodile River, attracting an abundance of wildlife throughout the year. This area is home to white rhino, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and herds of kudu and impala. The dense vegetation also provides excellent birdwatching opportunities, with species such as the Heuglin’s robin and Purple-crested turaco commonly seen around the camp.

Day 3: SOUTHERN KRUGER – CENTRAL KRUGER (73km – 1hr)

After breakfast, depart the southern region and travel north toward Skukuza Rest Camp, the largest and most historic camp in the park. Enjoy a leisurely self-drive through diverse landscapes, stopping at waterholes and viewpoints where elephant, giraffe, and antelope are often seen. The route offers an excellent variety of habitats, ensuring rewarding wildlife encounters. Arrive at Skukuza, beautifully set along the Sabie River.

Day 4: CENTRAL KRUGER

Spend the day at leisure exploring the central Kruger region around Skukuza. Known for dense wildlife populations, the area offers some of the park’s best opportunities to spot lion, leopard, and large elephant herds. You can enjoy slow drives along the Sabie River, visit scenic picnic sites, explore short loops rich in game, or relax at the camp, where animals often wander near the riverbanks. Skukuza is ideal for photography, birdwatching, and classic safari experiences.

Day 5: CENTRAL KRUGER – SATARA REGION (92km – 1.5hrs)

Today, depart Skukuza and travel north toward Satara Rest Camp. The journey takes you through some of Kruger’s prime game-viewing territory, with open savannahs and acacia-dotted plains that attract large herds of zebra, wildebeest, and buffalo. Satara is often called “big cat country,” with high chances of encountering lion, cheetah, and leopard in the surrounding area.

Day 6: CENTRAL KRUGER

Enjoy a full day at leisure in the Satara region. This central stretch of Kruger is famous for open grasslands where predators thrive, making it one of the best areas for spotting lions on the hunt or lounging under shade trees. Explore the well-known S100 and H7 routes, stop at waterholes where large herds gather, or relax in camp listening to the call of francolins and the distant roar of lions at night.

Day 7: CENTRAL KRUGER – NORTHERN CENTRAL KRUGER (70km – 1hr)

Continue your journey north to Letaba Rest Camp, known for its peaceful atmosphere and impressive elephant sightings. The region features sweeping mopane woodlands and broad river valleys where buffalo, waterbuck, and elephant are frequently spotted. Letaba’s scenic riverfront and shaded grounds make it a relaxing final base for your Kruger experience.

Day 8: NORTHERN CENTRAL KRUGER

Spend a full day at leisure in the tranquil Letaba region. Today you can enjoy slow self-drive safaris around the camp, visit nearby waterholes where animals frequently gather, or simply relax at the camp and take in the sights and sounds of the bush. Letaba’s peaceful setting and scenic riverfront offer excellent opportunities for birdwatching and photography.

Day 9: NORTHERN CENTRAL KRUGER – DEPART HOEDSPRUIT (138km – 2hrs)

After breakfast, travel to Hoedspruit Airport to return your rental vehicle and check in for your onward flight. Take with you unforgettable memories of your Kruger adventure.


Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in South Africa. Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat, and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.

The agency has the obligation to inform that it is recommended that the client take out insurance that includes, at least, issues such as repatriation,... which is basically inclusion insurance.


Once the agency informs the client about the recommendation to contract insurance for the trip, it is the client who can contract insurance with the agency, or contract it directly with whoever they want.
