Dal Mediterraneo al Sahara tra i set leggendari del cinema.

Un viaggio straordinario nel cuore della Tunisia, dove il deserto, i villaggi berberi e le antiche medine sono diventati scenografie naturali per alcune delle più grandi produzioni cinematografiche della storia.

Questo itinerario è pensato per chi sogna di camminare nei luoghi reali che hanno dato vita all’universo di Star Wars, alle avventure di Indiana Jones e alle atmosfere intense de Il Paziente Inglese, attraversando paesaggi autentici e spettacolari. Il tour è organizzato in pensione

completa dalla cena del primo giorno fino alla colazione dell’ultimo, con cene negli hotel e pranzi durante le escursioni.

24 aprile Cagliari / Tunisi

Il 24 aprile partenza da Cagliari e arrivo a Tunisi. Trasferimento verso la costa fino a Sousse, elegante città del Sahel tunisino affacciata sul Mediterraneo. Sistemazione in hotel, cena e pernottamento.

25 aprile Matmata - Ksar Hadada

Il 25 aprile si lascia il Mediterraneo per dirigersi verso la regione montuosa di Matmata, celebre per le sue abitazioni troglodite scavate nella terra. Qui si visita l’iconico Hotel Sidi Idriss, complesso sotterraneo composto da cortili circolari collegati da gallerie, utilizzato come

set per rappresentare la casa della famiglia Lars nel mondo di Star Wars. Gli ambienti scavati nella roccia conservano ancora l’atmosfera originale delle riprese, rendendo la visita un’esperienza emozionante per gli appassionati della saga.

Nel pomeriggio si raggiunge Ksar Hadada, antico granaio fortificato berbero con i suoi caratteristici magazzini sovrapposti, scelto come ambientazione per alcune scene legate alla città desertica di Mos Espa.

Tra cortili in pietra e architetture tradizionali si percepisce ancora l’impronta lasciata dal cinema. Rientro nella zona di Matmata per la cena e il pernottamento.

26 aprile Chott El-Jerid e Sahara

Il 26 aprile il viaggio entra nel grande sud tunisino. Dopo la colazione si attraversano paesaggi sempre più aperti e si raggiunge Douz, considerata la porta del Sahara. Da qui si prosegue verso lo spettacolare Chott el-Jerid, immensa distesa salata dove il cielo si fonde con l’orizzonte in un gioco continuo di miraggi e luce. Questo ambiente naturale straordinario è stato scelto dal cinema internazionale per rappresentare il deserto assoluto: qui il Sahara tunisino è diventato scenografia per Il Paziente Inglese, sfruttando la vastità e la luminosità unica del lago salato per ricreare le atmosfere nordafricane del film. La strada che attraversa lo Chott offre uno dei panorami più impressionanti dell’intero itinerario. Proseguendo verso ovest si entra nella regione di Nefta e Tozeur, una delle aree più utilizzate per le ambientazioni desertiche di Star Wars. Le dune e i paesaggi circostanti hanno ospitato la costruzione dei set che hanno rappresentato Mos Espa, integrandosi perfettamente con l’ambiente naturale. Arrivo a Tozeur, grande oasi circondata da palmeti e architetture tradizionali in mattoni decorati, cena e pernottamento.

27 aprile Tozeur e Star Wars Canyon

Il 27 aprile è interamente dedicato ai set cinematografici della regione di Tozeur. Si raggiungono le dune di Eriguet, dove venne costruita la scenografia della città desertica di Mos Espa. In questo scenario di sabbia chiara e terreno salino furono realizzate strutture permanenti utilizzate per le riprese ambientate nel pianeta Tatooine. Il paesaggio aperto e il silenzio del deserto rendono ancora oggi questo luogo incredibilmente suggestivo. Si prosegue con la visita della spettacolare Gola di Maguer, nel massiccio di Jebel Sidi Bouhlel, formazione rocciosa imponente conosciuta come “Star Wars Canyon”. Le sue pareti verticali e il canyon naturale sono stati utilizzati per rappresentare le terre rocciose del pianeta desertico e sono diventati uno dei luoghi simbolo della saga. Questa stessa area, per la sua conformazione

naturale così scenografica, è stata scelta anche da altre produzioni cinematografiche internazionali. Rientro a Tozeur per cena e pernottamento.

28 aprile Kairouan e Indiana Jones

Il 28 aprile si lascia il deserto per risalire verso la Tunisia centrale fino a raggiungere Kairouan, una delle città più antiche del mondo islamico e patrimonio UNESCO. La sua medina, con vicoli tortuosi, cortili, piazze e terrazze, è stata trasformata nel Cairo degli anni Trenta per le riprese di Indiana Jones – I Predatori dell’Arca Perduta. Qui furono girate celebri scene di inseguimenti tra i bazar, combattimenti nelle piazze e sequenze ambientate sui tetti della città. Camminare tra le strade di Kairouan significa riconoscere scorci e ambientazioni che il cinema ha reso immortali. Dopo la visita e il pranzo si prosegue verso la costa fino a Hammamet, cena e pernottamento.

29 aprile Tunisi / Rientro

Il 29 aprile, dopo la colazione, trasferimento verso l’aeroporto di Tunisi per il volo di rientro a Cagliari, con negli occhi le immagini di un viaggio che unisce deserto, cultura e grande cinema. Questo itinerario permette di vivere la Tunisia da una prospettiva unica: non solo un viaggio tra oasi e villaggi berberi, ma un percorso nei luoghi reali che hanno dato forma a mondi immaginari diventati leggendari.
