As soon as you enter the city, you will feel the strong influence of the Ottoman Empire, which ruled here for centuries. Elegant minarets rising into the sky, cobblestone streets echoing with hammer strikes shaping copper souvenirs, traditional wooden balconies - all of this feels like stepping into a living museum of past times. The island of Korčula is without a doubt one of the most special islands on the Croatian Adriatic. Here, more than anywhere else, legends, stories, and historical monuments come together. Famous stone masons, shipbuilders, sailors, and locals of Korčula left their mark all over the world, but what they left in their own town is truly remarkable. Enjoy a walk through the narrow streets lined with beautiful churches and palaces, one of the most beautiful towns in the Mediterranean. After the visit, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Day 6: NEUM – SPLIT – NEUM (164km -2 hrs)

After breakfast, depart for Split. Visit Split, a city more than 1,800 years old. The founder of Split was the Roman Emperor Diocletian (215–313). Between 295 and 305, he built a vast palace to spend the last years of his life in the land of his birth. For three centuries, only Roman monarchs occupied this complex. Everything changed in the 7th century when Avar and Slavic invasions forced the inhabitants of nearby Solin to seek refuge inside the palace walls. From then on, real urban life developed both inside and outside the fortified enclosure. The Diocletian’s Palace visit and the city tour are an extraordinary journey through the centuries: Roman, Slavic, and Venetian remains, a brief Napoleonic period, and the Austro‑Hungarian presence. Split also includes the Marjan Park, the Riva promenade, the port, Pazar market, the Fruit Square, the Golden Gate, and the Iron Gate. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, followed by free time to explore the city.
